GST consent letter / NOC from the premises owner
Where the principal place of business is not owned or rented in the applicant's own name, the owner gives written consent to the address being used. This is among the highest-volume documents in any Gujarat drafting office, and among the most frequently rejected — usually because the ownership proof attached does not match the consenting person, or the premises are described loosely.
Many officers accept a plain signed consent together with ownership proof; many ask for it notarised. We prepare it so that either way it is accepted.
The Gujarat Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 2019 repealed the 1948 Act. The coverage threshold was then raised: following the amendment brought in by ordinance in December 2025 and enacted in 2026 (operative retrospectively from 16 December 2025), the Act applies to establishments employing twenty or more workers, which must register. Establishments below that threshold fall under the intimation route — intimation of commencement of business to the jurisdictional Inspector, within 60 days, under section 7.
If you have been told that every shop must register under the 1948 Act, you have been told law that is two changes out of date. If you have been told the threshold is ten workers, you have been told law that is one change out of date. Because this moved recently, we confirm the current position for your establishment rather than relying on any published summary — including this one.
Indemnity bonds
An indemnity bond (નુકસાની બંધપત્ર) is an undertaking to compensate another party for loss arising from a stated act, and it is the standard companion to a great many transactions: a duplicate share certificate, a lost title deed, a bank releasing a deceased customer's balance without probate, a vehicle transfer, a customs or tender matter. High volume, and unforgiving if drafted loosely — the whole point is the scope of what you are promising to make good.
Board resolutions and authorised signatories
Opening the account, appointing the person who will sign the GST returns, authorising the borrowing, approving the purchase of premises — each needs a resolution in the right form, certified as a true copy on the company's letterhead. We prepare the resolution and the accompanying declarations.
